Void Fissure duration and rates, measured

Common wisdom says each relic era has its own fissure duration. Our log says otherwise. Every figure below comes from our own automatic recording, and the page recomputes itself.

Duration is random, and identical for every era

Fissure lifetime is drawn uniformly between 60 and 120 minutes. We observed 61 distinct whole-minute values across the range, with a median of 90 minutes, and the same spread for every era. So knowing the era tells you nothing about how long a fissure will stay.

How many appear, and how many are active

About 494 fissures per day open across all eras, 19508 recorded over 39.5 days. At any moment the number active is 28 (8.5%), 33 (8.5%), 34 (8.4%).

Method and limits

Based on 19508 fissures logged automatically over 39.5 days from the public world state. Timestamps are quantised to the minute upstream, so we do not claim sub-minute precision. These are server-side parameters Digital Extremes can change at any update.
